I just read a really disturbing article in which Doctors & Scientists were debating where in the body the soul resides. (Although they felt the need to clarify the word "soul" by defining it as a person's essence.) Umm...excuse me...I think maybe if they actually believe the soul is like attached to a particular organ, they're a little unclear on the concept anyway, and might want to give this up and go back to what they were doing in the beginning of the article. Which, by the way, was discussing experiments done in the 70s that involved removing the head from one monkey and putting it on the body of another monkey, which they seemed to think would actually be easier in humans what with our arteries and such being bigger and all. It mentioned that the monkey, although paralyzed due to the severing of its spinal chord, tried to bite the doctor that performed the operation. Can you say "Oh, Fuck!" I'm all for the use of science and medicine for the improvement of life and all, but at some point you just gotta let it go. You know something just occurred to me... These people, the ones who are so desperate to prolong life, they believe this is all there is. No Heaven, no Hell, no reincarnation, no nothing. How very sad they must be.
